Astra Veda (originally Worldflix Inc.) is a US based stock company traded in the OTC Markets. It operates as a business incubator and accelerator for its clients and ventures, aiming at producing successful startups.
I worked as a design consultant first for Worldflix from 2016, and after it was transformed into Astra in 2021, I continued with it till mid-2024. I was leading the service design, user experience design, branding, and digital marketing of both Astra and its clients and ventures.
I designed the logo and visual identity for Astra, as well as all the necessary marketing materials, including business cards, PowerPoint templates, and the website.
The company is undergoing another major change and has taken down its website for the time being.
This video was made for Astra's investor event in the United States in 2023.
Working together with my friends at Astra team Finland, I led the production of the video. The project had a tight deadline of 1.5 weeks with basically zero budget. I spent 95 hours working on it from the initial concept to the final version.
We started ideating with Lauri for fun ways to present the team. After coming up with what we roughly wanted to show, I wrote the script and a plan for filming it. Antton was a great help as the assistant director when we pushed through the filming process. I then composed, edited, and designed the sounds for the final video in After Effects. This was back in the day when AI narration tools were just becoming usable, so I worked with ElevenLabs to AI generate the narration. This saved time and money compared to working with professional voice actors.
